The Louisiana Hospital Association is a not-for-profit association representing all types of hospitals and healthcare systems throughout the state. The LHA carries out its mission by providing services and resources to members through advocacy, education, research, representation, and communication.

In 1978, the Varsity Club was formed as a division within the LSU Athletic Department to assist in raising private funds to support the LSU Athletic Program. The Varsity Club was then replaced by Tigers Unlimited, a Louisiana nonprofit corporation, in 1983 and Tigers Unlimited was granted 501(c)3 status in 1984. Tigers Unlimited reorganized and amended its Articles of Incorporation to formally change its name to Tiger Athletic Foundation in 1987. For 30 years, Tiger Athletic Foundation’s members have enhanced the lives of every student-athletes on every team by providing financial resources for programs and facilities that ensure the opportunity to win in the classroom, in competition, and in life. We were there when Warren Morris hit the walk-off homerun to win the 1996 College World Series. We were there in 2016, when LSU Gymnastics finished a historic season by finishing number two in the country. When student-athlete graduation rates increased by 18% in 2016, we were there. Our roots extend back to the Community Chest of New Orleans established in 1924. For over 90 years, we’ve connected our donors and fundholders with causes that they’re passionate about to affect transformational change.
