The Michigan Chamber of Commerce is a statewide business organization representing over 5,000 employers, trade associations and local chambers of commerce. The Michigan Chamber represents businesses of every size and type in all 83 counties of the state. The Michigan Chamber was established in 1959 to be an advocate for Michigan’s job providers in the legislative, political and legal process. It is one of only six state chambers of commerce in the nation accredited by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and one of only four state chambers accredited with distinction. The Michigan Chamber has been voted the most effective membership lobbying in the Lansing for the last 16 years running.

The Mackinac Center for Public Policy is a nonpartisan research and educational institute dedicated to improving the quality of life for all Michigan residents by promoting sound solutions to state and local policy questions. The Mackinac Center assists policy makers, scholars, business people, the media and the public by providing objective analysis of Michigan issues. The goal of all Center reports, commentaries and educational programs is to equip Michigan residents and other decision makers to better evaluate policy options. The Mackinac Center for Public Policy is broadening the debate on issues that has for many years been dominated by the belief that government intervention should be the standard solution. Our main initiatives focus on fiscal, labor and education policy, and we also house the Mackinac Center Legal Foundation, a public-interest law firm that uses strategic litigation and public outreach to secure the liberties of Michigan’s residents, workers, students and entrepreneurs.

The Ruth Mott Foundation is a private family foundation established by Ruth Mott, philanthropist and wife of automotive pioneer Charles Stewart Mott. The Ruth Mott Foundation’s mission is to advocate, stimulate, and support community vitality, and our commitment is to base the Foundation in its home community of Flint, Michigan. Founded in 1887, the Michigan Bankers Association (MBA) is a trade association of Michigan financial institutions which currently includes more than 2,300 branches located throughout the state with combined assets of over $150 billion. The MBA mission is to advocate for and support the banking industry. Our main areas of focus include: Advocacy The MBA acts as the official representative of member banks in matters of state legislation and regulation. The Community Foundation of Greater Flint is a tax-exempt public charity created by and for the people of Genesee County. CFGF enables people with philanthropic interests to easily and effectively support the issues they care about - immediately or through their will. Donors can establish a charitable fund at the foundation by contributing a variety of assets. Those assets are then carefully invested by the foundation. Established in 1988 through the merger of The Flint Public Trust, founded in 1950, and the Flint Area Health Foundation, created in 1978, the resulting Community Foundation combined the strengths of these two Flint institutions to position itself for future growth and giving. Since the merger, assets have grown from $10 million to more than $182 million. Over 10,000 contributors ranging from modest to magnificent means have enabled the Community Foundation to award more than $100 million in grants to the greater Flint area from over 450 charitable funds. The mission of Special Olympics Michigan is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the state of Michigan. Athletes are given continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness and athletic skill, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
