This position started as an accounts payable clerk where I was able to learn the process and implement process that made my position more efficient with filing, tracking invoices, working with internal staff on the purchase orders, and talking with vendors to make sure invoices were paid timely. I was able to translate and work with the controller on the entire accounting process. Together we worked to improve the accounting systems by running dual accounting systems. We moved from a DOS-based accounting software to a Windows-based accounting software. I was responsible for putting together all the financial transactions for the entire company in both systems and verified the financial reports for accuracy.
