Today's Michigan Agri-Business Association, formerly known as the Michigan Grain Dealers Association, was formed on June 25, 1903. Although the Association’s name has changed over the years reflecting the merger of other Associations, the primary interests of the group have been consistent and clear; to further the development and prosperity of businesses engaged in agriculture! Representatives of the organization are seen often in the Michigan Capitol meeting with legislators, working with various state agencies, or even in the halls of the United States Capitol making sure that member's interests are not overlooked, and that Michigan’s agri-business community is heard on important issues! The Michigan Agri-Business Association is also a strong supporter of education and informational programs on a wide variety of topics. Ranging from grain grading schools to personnel management, the Board of Directors of the Association is firmly committed to making sure that members have the opportunity to learn the latest on any subject that may affect them and their business. The Association sponsors an Annual Winter Conference and Trade Show, Summer Conference and each year publishes a directory regarded as the authority on who’s who in Michigan Agriculture. Michigan Association for Justice was originated in 1945 and is governed by an executive board comprised of approximately 70 members and five officers. The officers are elected each spring at the annual meeting of the full membership.

MLA is Michigan’s oldest and largest library association spanning 130 years. Our mission is to lead the advancement of all libraries through advocacy, education and engagement. MLA advocates for library funding, clarifies library governance issues, promotes librarian and library worker education, and works for free access of information to all residents.

Established in 1951, MARSP has been the only organization totally dedicated to promoting and supporting the rights and needs of retired public school personnel and serving as their legislative voice. MARSP is committed to being the premier advocate for all retired school personnel. We make certain that our members’ voices and views are heard in Lansing. The association has more than 100 chapters in Michigan, Florida, Arizona, Colorado, and Tennessee. Since 1992, Michigan’s Children has worked with lawmakers, business leaders and communities to create effective public policies to give all Michigan children the opportunity to thrive. We believe in: Equal Opportunity - Racial and ethnic disparities must be reduced so that all children have equal opportunities to thrive. Prevention - We can and must focus on preventing problems facing children and families, rather than intervening after children are harmed and families destroyed. Civic Engagement - The involvement of all stakeholders is critical, including community leaders, business and the private sector, parents, and youths. Collaboration - We must form key partnerships at the neighborhood, community, and local levels to address the needs of children and families.

Union contract negotiation, training and grievance administration, including arbitration hearings for this 10,000 member union comprised mostly of corrections and forensic security officers working for the State of Michigan.

For more than 85 years, Michigan United Conservation Clubs has been the watchdog for Michigan’s natural resources and our outdoor heritage. On November 9, 1937, 92 conservationists representing 35 outdoor clubs held a historic meeting at the Shiawassee Conservation Association. To protect Michigan’s outdoors, they formed a united front for conservation and created the Michigan United Conservation Clubs. Today, MUCC is the largest statewide conservation organization in the nation. Through tens of thousands of individual members and members through hundreds of affiliated clubs, MUCC works to accomplish its mission of Uniting Citizens to Conserve Michigan’s Natural Resources and Protect OUR Outdoor Heritage.
