Community Action, Inc. (formerly known as Jefferson-Clarion County Economic Opportunity Association, Inc.) was established in 1965 as a private, non-profit charitable 501(c)(3) corporation and has been designated by the Boards of Commissioners of Clarion and Jefferson Counties to serve as a multi-purpose administering and service delivery entity for a variety of anti-poverty, social and/or humanistic programs. Community Action, Inc. has served the Clarion and Jefferson County area continuously since inception. Emmaus helps people rebuild their lives by creating and renewing a sense of community. On any given night 300 different people of all ages call Emmaus “home.” More than 80,000 meals will be served to shelter residents, and many housing residents and program participants receive emergency food from Emmaus’ food pantry at 101 Winter Street. Emmaus’ housing and shelter programs include emergency shelter, transitional housing, permanent affordable housing, housing search and stabilization, job training and adult education, financial and life skills training, substance abuse education, support groups, and case management. Emmaus also connects people with other community-based organizations, treatment programs, medical and mental health services, and mainstream resources to help them rebuild their lives and reach their fullest potential.

The Southern Maine Agency on Aging is the focal point in Cumberland and York counties for resources, services and information to empower older adults, adults with disabilities, and their caregivers to live to their fullest potential.

CONCORD BOYS & GIRLS CLUB is a nonprofit organization management company based out of PO BOX 1204, CONCORD, New Hampshire, United States.

A comprehensive community agency serving families and individuals with disabilities or chronic health conditions from birth to elder years through conflict free case management. Community Crossroads is one of ten non- profit corporations designated as “area agencies” by the state of New Hampshire. In this role, we are responsible for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families from birth to elder years as well as adults with acquired brain disorders.   Originally established in 1979 as Region 10 Client Management, the agency has grown over the past thirty eight years to serve over 1,200 individuals and families in eleven towns in southern New Hampshire. We have become an integral part of our local communities through fundraising activities, civic involvement, and partnership with local businesses. Beginning in 2012 we expanded our services and our mission to support anyone in need of long term care. This includes elders and other adults with chronic health conditions under the Choices for Independence program. We also offer Representative Payee services to those who need extra help managing their finances. This includes not only individuals with disabilities but also veterans; people who are homeless; and others receiving Social Security benefits. Both of these services are available to people living anywhere in New Hampshire. In 2017, we were awarded a contract from the NH Department of Health and Human Services to serve children with chronic health conditions and their families under the Partners in Health program. Community Crossroads also offers access to our Oral Health Program for anyone served by the agency.

Community Action Partnership of Strafford County is a 501(c)(3) private nonprofit organization established in 1965 under the provisions of the Equal Opportunity Act of 1964. We work with community, state and federal partners to assist children, families, low-income and elderly residents with their efforts to become or remain financially and socially independent through a variety of coordinated programs. Without the services provided by our agency, many local residents would be without a means to provide for their basic needs, including food, education, child care, utilities assistance, transportation, shelter and access to other services.

Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as responsible, productive and caring citizens. The three priority outcomes for Club programs are Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles and Good Character & Citizenship. Serving kids and teens, after school and in summer among five Clubs in Greater Portland and Lewiston/Auburn.
