For over thirty years Maine Lobster Outlet has served the lobster needs of a large array of wholesale customers both domestically and internationally. Our reputation for quality and service is unsurpassed in the industry. We are a thirty-five minute drive to Portland, Maine and less than an hour heading south to Boston. Our location allows us to ship out of Boston twice daily. Our 15,000-square-foot HAACP certified facility in York has a holding capacity of 140,000 pounds of live lobster. We ship about 3 million pounds of lobster a year, or about 10,000 pounds a day. Each lobster is inspected by hand and evaluated for fitness before packing. Our new facility enables us to provide the best possible product and service to our existing customers and allows us the flexibility and capacity to begin relationships with new companies. Importantly, because we are moderately sized and owner operated, we offer a direct customer to owner relationship. Along with our thriving wholesale business we also serve retail clients through additional services including our retail market, lobster bake catering, a unique live lobster fundraising program and residential shipping of lobster gift boxes. At our retail store you will find a unique market specializing in live lobsters, fresh lobster meat, lobsters cooked to go, our terrific jumbo lobster rolls, the world’s best clam chowder and a variety of other prepared food products as well as selected wines and micro brews.
