Open Door Mission is a Gospel Rescue Mission committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty. Each day Open Door Mission’s campus offers 917 safe shelter beds to homeless men, women and children, serves over 3,500 nutritious meals and provides preventive measures to more than 275 people living in poverty. To meet the basic physical needs of the hungry and homeless, the Open Door Mission’s day facility services provide free transportation from the downtown area to Open Door Mission and Lydia House. Open Door Mission offers life-changing programs for those recovering from life-altering addictions and abuse to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.

Vodec is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation founded in 1968 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, by a group of parents, teachers and elected officials who wanted a community-based work program for their loved ones. Our mission is to provide services to persons with disabilities in order that those persons may live, work and participate in the community in the least restrictive environment to achieve their full potential. Today, we offer day, employment and residential services to Nebraska and Iowa consumers through our development centers in Omaha, Council Bluffs and Urbandale, Iowa.

Nishna Productions, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)3 community rehabilitation agency offering vocational training, employment and residential services to people with disabilities in Page, Fremont, Mills and Montgomery counties in southwest Iowa. The programs and services offered by Nishna Productions, Inc. focus on developing individual abilities, as we work toward attaining our mission of "providing support and opportunity for people to accomplish their goals."​ Many individuals with disabilities served by Nishna Productions, Inc. have been able to reach their personal goals and become contributing members of their communities as a result of the support and training given by the dedicated staff employed by the organization. Nishna Productions, Inc. currently operates two vocational training and three day services center, where vocational and day habilitation services are provided. The agency also has 22 residential sites located throughout the four counties.

Eastern Nebraska Community Action Partnership (ENCAP) is a non-profit community based organization that has been providing social and human services to people facing poverty since 1965. We are dedicated to providing programming that meets community needs, that responds to the voices of the low-income community, and that demonstrates continuous quality improvement. Our mission guides all that we do: "ENCAP reduces the power of poverty in Eastern Nebraska through direct service and results-driven partnerships." These initiatives include emergency rent & utility assistance; senior wellness; transportation; and the Bellevue Food Pantry.

YouTurn is an non-profit organization committed to using evidence-based strategies of suppression, intervention and prevention to deter gangs and violence. We serve adolescents and young adults, 12 to 25+ years of age residing in the northeast and southeast sectors of Douglas County in Omaha, Nebraska that are in gangs or are at-risk for gangs, violence and other activities that negatively impact their opportunity for success. YouTurn creates opportunities for youth to “break the cycle” of violence by: • Helping adolescents and young adults, involved in gangs and those at-risk for gang involvement, seek positive alternatives to gangs and violence; and • Reducing the costly impact of gangs and violence in our neighborhoods and schools. OUR PHILOSOPHY YouTurn believes that the prevalence of gangs and violence is a key indicator of the health and well-being of our community. To deter the increase of gangs and violence, YouTurn supports at-risk adolescents and young adults by using evidence-based strategies designed to create pathways for healing, success and achievement among at-risk adolescents and young adults. Our youth are resilient, and with our support, they can chart a new course of personal achievement and success. OUR APPROACH YouTurn “treats” gangs and violence, like a health epidemic. Our strategies include: • Detecting and intervening with gang violence where it occurs; • Identifying and treating those most at risk; and • Changing social norms by implementing innovative approaches YouTurn uses evidence-based strategies and programs, designed specifically for adolescents and young adults involved in gangs and at-risk for involvement. Our Street and School Outreach Staff maintain a visible presence in neighborhoods and schools most impacted by gangs and violence. Through strong, effective collaborations, YouTurn provides adolescents and young adults with opportunities to “turn their lives around”.
