Answers in Genesis is an apologetics (i.e., Christianity-defending) ministry, dedicated to enabling Christians to defend their faith and to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ effectively. We focus particularly on providing answers to questions surrounding the book of Genesis, as it is the most-attacked book of the Bible. We also desire to train others to develop a biblical worldview, and seek to expose the bankruptcy of evolutionary ideas, and its bedfellow, a “millions of years old” earth (and even older universe).

After serving 9 years at the YMCA, I heeded a call to serve at my church. I was recruited by the senior pastor during a transitional time as we reorganized the staff and re-focused our priorities. We established a Generosity Team that focused on building financial gifts to the church. The church facilitated a $15 million capital campaign while improving annual giving to $4.8 million during a time of decreasing givers.

One in five American children faces food insecurity — more than the populations of New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago combined. During the school week, most of these children depend on the federal free and reduced meal program their school offers. Sometimes, the meals at school are the only ones they get. When the school closes its doors on Friday afternoon, many of these children go home to empty cupboards and empty bellies for 65 hours until they return to school on Monday morning.
