The Elkay Manufacturing Company began as a vision of Leopold Katz and his son Louis on the North side of Chicago back in 1920. Founded with the goals of manufacturing the highest quality sinks and providing the best service possible, the company began to thrive. As time went by, we set the pace with new products, designs and innovations that continue to lead the industry. To meet the demands of a changing marketplace, over the years we've expanded from our base business to include the manufacture of water coolers and fountains. Recently, we broadened our scope to address the emerging world market of water filtration products and now offer our customers the benefits of our extensive research. With the acquisition of a global commercial interior design company - Elkay Interior Systems - we began serving the quick-serve restaurant and hospitality industries with award-winning, turnkey commercial branded interiors. Throughout our growth and expansion, Elkay has continued to recognize and respect the value and commitment that each employee brings to the company. Our strength is in our people and we reward them for their hard work with respect, job satisfaction, and increased opportunity. We are now a family of companies that employ over 2,600 people in production and distribution facilities throughout North America and around the world As the Elkay family expands nationally and globally, our commitment stays the same: complete customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and deep employee engagement. We are in business forever. The International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers (HFIAW or Insulators) is a trade union in the United States and Canada. The primary focus of the union is to assist its membership in securing employment, to defend their rights and advance their interests as working men and women, and by education and co-operation, raise them to that position in society to which they are justly entitled. Today’s union insulator is skilled in the installation of mechanical insulation, fire stopping, asbestos and lead mitigation or abatement, sound attenuation and specialty fabrications required in custom mechanical insulation installations for commercial, industrial, medical, bio-technical, governmental and educational facilities among other customer types. This work is installed by our professional mechanical insulators that have achieved journeyman status in the union through a multi-year classroom and 1,600 hour per year on-the-job training program second to none in North America. The International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers has persevered since 1903, a testament to our founders’ commitment to the dignity, skills and well-being of our membership. For over 115 years our union has endured, through good times and bad, in peacetime and at war, through economic depression and prosperity, in favor and out of favor with governments and politicians. Through it all we not only have survived; we have flourished.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF TEAMSTERS UNION LOCAL NO.142 ANNUITY FUND

The Teamsters are one of North America’s largest, most diverse unions. In 1903, the Teamsters started as a merger of the two leading team driver associations. These drivers were the backbone of America’s robust economic growth, but they needed to organize to wrest their fair share from greedy corporations. Today, the Union’s task is exactly the same. The Teamsters are known as the champion of freight drivers and warehouse workers, but have organized workers in virtually every occupation imaginable, both professional and non-professional, private sector and public sector. Our 1.2 million members are public defenders in Minnesota; vegetable workers in California; sanitation workers in New York; brewers in St. Louis; newspaper workers in Seattle; construction workers in Las Vegas; zoo keepers in Pennsylvania; healthcare workers in Rhode Island; bakery workers in Maine; airline pilots, secretaries and police officers. Name the occupation and chances are we represent those workers somewhere. Teamsters stand ready to organize workers who want to bargain collectively. Once a contract is negotiated and signed, the Union works to enforce it—holding management’s feet to the fire and invoking contract grievance procedures if management chooses not to. Wages and benefits under Teamster contracts are markedly better than those of non-union employees in similar jobs. Teamster contracts are the guarantors of decent wages, fair promotion, health coverage, job security, paid time-off and retirement income. The Teamsters Union also performs vital tasks in such areas as pension management, safety & health, community outreach, governmental affairs and communications. For more than a century, the Teamsters have been a public voice for the rights and aspirations of working men and women and a key player in securing them.
