Opportunities, Inc. is a Community Rehabilitation Program based in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, with additional locations in Watertown, Janesville, Beaver Dam, and Oconomowoc. For over 50 years the agency has continued to expand its comprehensive vocational training and employment services, social integration, academic programs, and supportive home care for individuals with barriers, to include those with disabilities, limited work experience, AODA issues, language challenges, economic disadvantages, employment dislocation, re-entry and veterans. Opportunities, Inc. is also a leader in social enterprise; through co-manufacturing, staffing and custom design and print services it offers a quality driven service for its business partners while promoting positive advances for the community. Our group homes provide a family atmosphere where four to eight individuals live together with 24-hour staff support. Each person has their own room, which they are encouraged to personalize. Open Door also utilizes a special dietician-directed meal program called My25. This program considers each person’s health requirements and encourages individuals to help with meal preparation. We also offer assistance for individuals seeking intermittent support. These services are for people who live in their own home or apartment but also need help every now and then. Our staff develops personal relationships with the individuals we serve and offers services in all aspects of everyday living. Open Door is focused on opening doors and developing opportunities for all of our clients. This means that we provide support in every aspect of life, assisting with personal care, doctor appointments, and medication management. Our clients also receive guidance on money management, personal shopping, and laundry assistance. The levels of support are uniquely designed around the specific needs of each person. Fun and recreation are also a big part of services at Open Door. We provide transportation to a wide variety of events and activities. Clients have the opportunity to attend sporting events, see concerts, visit museums, and take outings to local parks. We also have groups that attend dance classes, yoga, and open swim sessions. If an individual has an interest, we try our best to satisfy their need in order to promote independence, growth, and an exceptional quality of life for every person we serve.

Founded in 1961 by Bob Terese and Corinne Owen, Lambs Farm was created based on a simple belief: All people should be treated with dignity and respect and people with developmental disabilities can lead meaningful and productive lives. They opened The Lambs, a pet shop on State Street in downtown Chicago, to create work opportunities for people with developmental disabilities, and to demonstrate that they can do a great deal more than most people thought possible at the time. In 1965. W. Clement Stone donated what is now the 72-acre farm with a century old barn that we call home. We now serve 250 participants. Most of them live at Lambs Farm in one of our nine group homes, in our 16-unit apartment building or in our retirement residence. Some participants live in the surrounding community in single family homes owned and operated by Lambs Farm. Other participants live at home with their families but commute to Lambs Farm daily to work and take part in our many programs. Many of our people are employed in the community while many more choose to work at Lambs Farm in a wide array of jobs available to them through our businesses, work center, administration, groundskeeping and more.

Little Friends is a private, non-profit organization empowering children, adults and families with autism and other developmental disabilities. Little Friends operates a number of programs including three alternative schools, family support and consultation services, vocational training, community-based residential services and the nationally-recognized Little Friends Center for Autism.

VIP Services offers a dynamic range of programs, services, and supports to help a diverse group of people with differing abilities to live a life characterized by dignity and purpose. Our core programs include Work/Employment Skills Training, Community Employment, and Day Services. We operate a large fleet of accessible vehicles to transport seniors and people with disabilities around Walworth County and beyond, along with Wal-to-Wal, a shared ride public transportation within Walworth County. Through State contract, we clean and maintain all Rest Areas within Walworth and Rock counties as well as some in Dane and Waukesha counties.
