Created by Arvida Corporation in 1987 as a second home escape from the hot summer climates of the south to the cool mountain breezes, Cullasaja Club became a private club in 2000 with membership by invitation only. A River Runs Through It The community is carved out of the primeval forest stretching from the quaint town of Highlands to Whiteside Mountain. Hundred-year-old specimen trees dot the landscape with the Cullasaja River running right through it. Each year, more families choose Cullasaja Club for its unique combination of simple mountain pleasures, a vibrant social club, and a casual, relaxed lifestyle that is shared by all generations.

Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau offers after-school and summer day camp programming for the youth of the Highlands/Cashiers area. Programs focus heavily on academic success, healthy and active lifestyles, and good character and citizenship. As a member organization of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, we strive "to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens."

- Maintained responsibility for recruitment, operations, and employee relations for the club’s Front of House, Back of House, Maintenance, and Housekeeping departments - Recruited, trained, and managed operations staff, including H-2B and J-1 Visa employees - Managed a staff of ~50, an overall revenue of $5 million in 2018––the largest revenue producing year in the club’s history––and operations up to 550 attendees, in the club’s six-month seasonal operating period - Handled crisis management of the club’s operations, along with restoration of facilities, as a result of a large-scale fire in 2017 damaging 65% of the clubhouse. Developed a capital budget for all necessary operating equipment and recommendations for facility renovation needs, to assist with maintaining operations and revenue production.
