Kids Central Incorporated is the nonprofit lead agency that coordinates a community-based system of care for abused, neglected and abandoned children and their families. Kids Central is committed to promoting the welfare of children through abuse/neglect prevention services, in-home care, foster care, and adoption and services Citrus, Hernando, Lake, Marion and Sumter counties in Florida.

Community Partnership for Children cares for over 1,400 children each year who are victims of abuse or neglect. We serve families and children in Flagler, Putnam, and Volusia Counties in Florida. We partner with providers and local citizens to restore families, support caring relatives, connect children with loving homes, and prepare adolescents for adulthood. Because every child deserves a loving home, Community Partnership for Children coordinates preventative and early intervention services that enable children to remain with their families. When a child must be removed from the family, we strive to maintain them in the least restrictive environment available, usually with a relative or in a foster home, until the child can be reunited with their family. Community Partnership for Children promotes sibling unification which enables brothers and sisters to share their lives together while in foster care. Community Partnership for Children works with many local providers to provide child protection. Our system-of-care overview shows the relationship between our partners. Through the efforts and involvement of the community, we are able to keep children safe and build strong families.

Mission - Seniors First enhances the quality of life of seniors by maintaining their independence and dignity. Seniors First targets services to highly vulnerable elderly populations age 60+ and disabled adults age 18-59, including the very old, people living alone, people below or near the poverty line, minority populations, and individuals with significant health conditions or mental impairments. The specific vulnerabilities include physical frailty, sensory decline, low education level, cognitive decline, lack of transportation, low social support and depression, which often require extensive intervention and advocacy. Central Florida seniors deserve our best efforts. Together we have the unique opportunity to enhance a senior’s quality of life by continuing to promote choice, independence, and positive aging. Our core programs are Nutrition Services, which include Meals On Wheels and Congregate Meals, supporting the nutritional needs of seniors and providing socialization opportunities. The Home Improvement program provides home repair and weatherization to low-income seniors. Other services include Guardianship for incapacitated adults, Transportation support for Congregate Meals, and Stepping Stone Medical Equipment Bank. Under the In-Home Care program, case managers assist clients with care plans which may include the following services: homemaker, personal care, companionship, respite, adult day care, emergency response, home modification/accessibility, medical supplies, and nutritional counseling. The purpose of the Early Learning Coalition of Seminole (ELC), now in its 19th year, is to invest in the future of our community, by investing in the lives of our children through the provision of quality early education and child care. By providing families with financial assistance for child care, we help to educate the next generation, which translates to higher employment and self-sufficiency for Seminole County families. In addition, we help all families with locating child care providers based on their needs, preference and available resources. We also offer developmental screenings to make sure children are reaching appropriate milestones as well as free vision and hearing screenings for children aged 0-4. Research has proven that early childhood education is essential for a child’s development of critical skills and provides a foundation for future success. We aim to improve opportunity and reduce stress on parents by offering affordable child care, which allows them to better contribute to the community while strengthening the life trajectory of the next generation. Through our partnerships with local agencies, we are able to fulfill our purpose by providing additional early intervention services such as trainings and evaluations for child care teachers and guidance for caregivers on locating early intervention resources. PARC is one of 55 chapters of NYSARC, Inc. Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, a private nonprofit organization, is the largest provider of homeless services in Central Florida.
