President (2000 – 2005) Vice President Reimbursement (1995-2000) CFO/Controller/Financial Manager (1990-1995) Recruited initially to set up computerized financial systems for growing company of two nursing homes. Within two years, advanced quickly being placed in charge of all financial reporting responsibilities for the then eight facilities. By 1995 was challenged to enhance all possible revenue streams of what became a fourteen facility chain. Named President in 2000, overseeing all finances, business development, marketing, operations, human resources and administrative affairs. Turned the struggling company into a very profitable one during a period that saw many of its competitors going bankrupt. Grew the company further to a $210 million, 20 facility chain by 2005. Selected results:  In five years as President, led the company from severe financial losses to a strong and sustained bottom line. During this time the balance sheet improved $40 million from a deficit of $15 million to a strong net worth of $25 million.  As President, improved quality mix census from under 20% to 45%.  Revenues more than doubled  Developed and worked with an operations/clinical team that eliminated moratoriums that had plagued the company in prior years. Quality surveys reflected the change in patient care.  Established employee appreciation programs, improving the turnover rate and thus giving a better cohesiveness to each facility  Maintained excellent collections efforts that kept the DSO significantly under industry norms  Reorganized debt structure and nearly eliminated the debt by 2005 from a $37 million high in 2001. This was accomplished even though the company grew 50% in bed size.  Established a rehab company in 1997 prior to PPS in anticipation of running an efficient internal program
