Our story began in 1999 with two individual companies on separate continents with trailblazing entrepreneurs at their helms. The mission of Goodwill Industries-Suncoast is to help people achieve their full potential through the dignity and power of work. We achieve this mission through job training, employment, and personal growth opportunities for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment. Through Goodwill, people experience the self-respect derived from earning a paycheck. The sale of donated and new goods at Goodwill stores enables us to offer a variety of employment and training services, promote self-sufficiency, and contribute to community conservation through recycling. Goodwill-Suncoast provides services to people in 10 counties – Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough, Polk, Hernando, Marion, Citrus, Sumter, Levy and Highlands counties. Goodwill-Suncoast was founded in October 1954 in downtown St. Petersburg. We began by assisting a handful of people with disabilities to gain work skills and paychecks. Now we help thousands of people overcome a variety of barriers to employment through employment programs, five subsidized apartment buildings, work activities centers for adults with developmental disabilities, as well as rehabilitative community corrections facilities. To support these services, Goodwill-Suncoast operates 15 retail stores and three outlet stores.

The Straz Center began as a dream by visionary citizens of Tampa who persevered to bring to reality one of the finest performing arts centers in the nation. It is many things to many people and it’s more than just a building, more than just a performing arts center. It is a presenter, a producer, an educator, a community partner and an economic engine for the Tampa Bay area. It is a cornerstone of the Tampa Bay community. The Straz Center creates a regional economic impact of more than $100 million each year. To our local economy it can mean more tourists staying in hotels, eating in restaurants, shopping in stores and visiting other venues when they are here. At both the local and national level, it provides access to more than 700,000 people of all ages, abilities and cultures each year. It also provides jobs for artists and other professionals who have a passion for the arts and for our mission.

For over 70 years, the Sarasota Orchestra has been entertaining music lovers from around the region, and visitors from around the world. The 80-member Orchestra performs more than 100 classical, pops and family concerts each year, and thrives as the oldest continuing orchestra in the state of Florida. In 2008 the organization unveiled a new name and logo with a package that offers new series, new concerts and a whole new way to experience live music, along with the timeless classics. An arts leader in the community, the Sarasota Orchestra has a dual mission dedicated to exquisite performance and first-class musical education. The Sarasota Orchestra's acclaimed music education program includes the 60-year-old Youth Orchestra, which features five ensembles – the most advanced of which, The Youth Philharmonic, made its Carnegie Hall debut in 2008. The Sarasota Orchestra also offers music lessons for students of all ages and abilities, sponsors multiple community outreach programs and is the parent program of the Sarasota Music Festival.

The Bowl is a college football game matching teams from the SEC and Big Ten/ACC Conferences. It is a culmination of a weeklong schedule of events throughout the Tampa Bay area. It has hosted games typically on New Year's Day for 37 years. Over it's history the bowl has generated a $1.1 Billion economic impact for the region plus millions each year in national and international exposure for the area. It has also distributed over $170 Million to universities. The bowls Charitable Giving Initiative was started in 2016 and has donated millions of dollars to more than 160 area charities.
