Our story began in 1999 with two individual companies on separate continents with trailblazing entrepreneurs at their helms. The Straz Center began as a dream by visionary citizens of Tampa who persevered to bring to reality one of the finest performing arts centers in the nation. It is a presenter, a producer, an educator, a community partner and an economic engine for the Tampa Bay area. It is a cornerstone of the Tampa Bay community. The Straz Center creates a regional economic impact of more than $100 million each year. The Bowl is a college football game matching teams from the SEC and Big Ten/ACC Conferences. It is a culmination of a weeklong schedule of events throughout the Tampa Bay area. It has hosted games typically on New Year's Day for 37 years. Over it's history the bowl has generated a $1.1 Billion economic impact for the region plus millions each year in national and international exposure for the area. It has also distributed over $170 Million to universities. The bowls Charitable Giving Initiative was started in 2016 and has donated millions of dollars to more than 160 area charities.

Goodwill Manasota is an industry-leading, 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization that changes lives through the power of work. With the sales of donated goods and philanthropic donations, Goodwill is able to assist people with disabilities and other barriers to employment by providing job skills training and employment opportunities. In 2017, Goodwill Manasota served 11,672 people, placed 555 people in jobs, assisted 360 veterans as they reintegrated back into the civilian workforce, and provided 19,540 hours of on-the-clock training for its employees.
