Available 24 hours a day by dialing 9-1-1.

Mission - Seniors First enhances the quality of life of seniors by maintaining their independence and dignity. Seniors First targets services to highly vulnerable elderly populations age 60+ and disabled adults age 18-59, including the very old, people living alone, people below or near the poverty line, minority populations, and individuals with significant health conditions or mental impairments. The specific vulnerabilities include physical frailty, sensory decline, low education level, cognitive decline, lack of transportation, low social support and depression, which often require extensive intervention and advocacy. Central Florida seniors deserve our best efforts. Together we have the unique opportunity to enhance a senior’s quality of life by continuing to promote choice, independence, and positive aging. Our core programs are Nutrition Services, which include Meals On Wheels and Congregate Meals, supporting the nutritional needs of seniors and providing socialization opportunities. The Home Improvement program provides home repair and weatherization to low-income seniors. Other services include Guardianship for incapacitated adults, Transportation support for Congregate Meals, and Stepping Stone Medical Equipment Bank. Under the In-Home Care program, case managers assist clients with care plans which may include the following services: homemaker, personal care, companionship, respite, adult day care, emergency response, home modification/accessibility, medical supplies, and nutritional counseling. Our mission would never be accomplished without the support of our committed volunteers, the oversight and guidance given by the dedicated Board of Directors and the generosity of our funders, donors, staff, and caring community. We are also deeply grateful for the support we receive from local businesses, foundations and individual donors.
