MSD's Mission: To guide, serve and support Delaware Physicians, promoting the practice and profession of medicine to enhance the health of our communities. MSD was founded in 1776 and incorporated on February 3, 1789, only 12 days after President Washington took his oath of office. It is the third oldest society of its kind in the US. Although much has changed in the medical profession since then, the principle upon which this Society of physicians was founded has remained steadfast: to further the medical profession in such a way that the health and well being of the citizens of Delaware can be enhanced. We exist to serve our members and, through them, the citizens of Delaware. We do this in four areas: advocacy, representation, public service, and education. The original 27-member organization has grown to a present membership of over 1,600 physicians throughout the State of Delaware. The Medical Society of Delaware continues its support of physicians in their vigor and spirit to advance the profession, which was the basis for its creation.

The International Literacy Association (ILA) is a professional membership organization of literacy educators, researchers and experts spanning 128 countries. For more than 67 years, ILA has set the standard for how literacy is defined, taught and evaluated, connecting research and practice to improve the quality of literacy learning across the globe. Through its Standards for the Preparation of Literacy Professionals, ILA provides an evidence-based benchmark for the development and evaluation of literacy professional preparation programs. ILA collaborates with partners across the world to develop, gather and disseminate high-quality resources, which include three peer-reviewed and edited journals—The Reading Teacher, Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy and Reading Research Quarterly. Simon Scholars is a unique scholarship program that begins at the end of a student’s sophomore year in high school and continues through the completion of college. It is designed to help students facing difficult life and economic circumstances to excel academically and socially so they can successfully complete a 4-year college degree and enter the workforce as professionals. Simon Scholars are required to maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA by the end of their junior year of high school. During high school, students receive a laptop computer, networking skills and etiquette training, academic support, leadership training and community service opportunities. Scholars are also provided with an intensive college preparatory program, which includes ACT and SAT courses, college tours and assistance in the college application process. Following the completion of high school, Simon Scholars receive a $16,000 college scholarship. At this time, the Program selects more than 190 new Simon Scholars each academic year. Currently, over 300 Scholars participate in the High School Program, and over 450 in the College Program. Simon Scholars attend prestigious colleges throughout the country. To date, the Foundation has supported over 1,500 deserving Scholars and has provided over $60 million in financial aid and program support.

Destination Imagination, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) volunteer-led non-profit organization whose purpose is to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. The organization seeks to connect students to opportunities emerging in the global digital economy. The most popular education offering is the Challenge Program, where student teams solve open-ended science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) and service learning Challenges and present their solutions to trained Appraisers. The Mental Health Association in Delaware promotes improved mental well being for all individuals and families in Delaware through education, support, and advocacy. The Mental Health Association in Delaware (MHA) is a statewide, nonprofit organization founded in 1932 to promote mental health. MHA provides services throughout Delaware, and our focus is education, support and advocacy for mental health issues. MHA is an affiliate of Mental Health America. With over 240 affiliates, Mental Health America represents the largest and oldest voluntary citizen’s organization concerned with mental health and mental illness. The MHA strives to: - Improve the community’s understanding of mental health and the mind-body connection between mental and physical health. - Provide education and opportunities for individuals to identify early warning signs of mental illness and subsequently provide programs and an environment that supports recovery and improves resilience for these individuals. - Assure that those who request information and need mental health care referral have confidential access to the appropriate information and know how to obtain care. - Advocate for improved support and treatment particularly at the state and federal levels, especially where reform is needed. We are an ELCA congregation located in Long Lake Illinois. We have services on Sunday at 8 and 10:30 a.m. Our Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m. With adult study at the same time. We also operate Little Lambs Preschool and Kids Klub child care for after school care.

Mid Shore Behavioral Health (MSBH) is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) regional core serving agency serving the five counties of Maryland's mid-shore: Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, and Talbot. Our primary responsibility is for community planning, management, and monitoring of publicly funded medically necessary mental health services in the five-county region for consumers across the life span: children, adolescents, adults and the aging population. MSBH’s mission is to continually improve the provision of behavioral health services for residents of Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne's and Talbot Counties through effective coordination of care in collaboration with consumers, their natural support systems, providers and the community at large.
