Founded in 1903, Klingberg Family Centers is a private, nonprofit multi-service agency providing help to thousands of persons across Connecticut each year. Our goal is to extend hope and healing to children and families whose lives have been traumatized by abuse and/or neglect in its various forms, severe family problems and mental health issues. Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc. (CIFC) is a locally based independent, non-profit, IRS recognized Section 501(C) (3) Community Development Corporation (CDC), whose Mission is dedicated to advancing our communities, and fostering greater opportunities for low and moderate income individuals and families of our service areas, through a combination of health and education programs, and housing and economic development projects. It is the only such organization in Western Connecticut.

Family & Children's Aid (FCA) is a community-based, non-profit agency designed to help support and heal Connecticut's children, adolescents and their families by providing high quality emerging and evidence-based mental health services. FCA believes that seeking help is a sign of strength and that excellent care should be available to individuals and families in all walks of life, whenever needed and without discrimination. FCA’s clinical services reach throughout western Connecticut and include group homes for children and adolescents who have been removed from their home environments by the CT Department of Children and Families, outpatient therapeutic programs, Therapeutic Foster Care program, and in-home and community-based services for children and families who are at-risk for, or are in the midst of crisis. FCA's main campus is located in Danbury, with additional offices in Waterbury, Torrington, New Britain, Shelton, Bridgeport and New Milford to better serve clients throughout western CT.

Founded in 1972, Way Finders builds and advocates for a thriving and equitable region by improving the stability and economic mobility of families and individuals, together with developing and managing a wide range of housing to support strong communities. The largest nonprofit housing provider in Western Massachusetts, Way Finders provides housing counseling, financial education, employment training, affordable housing development and management, rental assistance, homelessness prevention services, neighborhood revitalization, and community building.

OUR MISSION Preparing Our Community to Meet Life's Challenges The Community Renewal Team Inc. is an anti-poverty agency serving people and families throughout the Connecticut River Valley. Early Care and Education, Meals on Wheels, alternatives to incarceration, supportive housing and shelter, and many other CRT programs give people the skills and the resources to become self-sufficient and to thrive. When America's Johnson's War on Poverty began in 1963, the founders of CRT were already at work addressing the needs of the poor and disadvantaged in Hartford. In 1999, the Community Renewal Team of Greater Hartford Inc. merged with Community Action for Greater Middlesex County to form the Community Renewal Team Inc. CRT now runs major programs in 70 Connecticut towns, including Meals on Wheels, Head Start, homebuyer and energy assistance, nutrition and youth services.
