Erickson Metals Corporation is fully committed to being the premier supplier of aluminum coil, sheet, plate, rod & bar, pipe & tube and extruded shapes. Founded in 1972 by Richard H. Erickson, Erickson Metals set out to serve quality conscious eyelet industry customers. Throughout the 1970’s, the growing aluminum warehousing and distribution center expanded in and around Waterbury, Connecticut, an area historically known for it’s eyelet and metal stamping industries. In 1984, Erickson Rolling Mills, a division of Erickson Metals Corporation, was established. It is a state-of-the-art rolling facility, employing the most modern technology for metal processing. Our Connecticut facility, including corporate head quarters, is located in a spacious, custom designed plant in the Cheshire Industrial Park. Full-line aluminum service centers in Minnesota and Colorado were opened in the early 1980’s, along with our New Mexico facility opening in the early 2000’s, broadening distribution capabilities to customers for flat sheet, plate, rod, bar, and extruded products. Erickson Metals maintains a complete stock of aluminum products. We also work closely with customers to design practical packaging methods. Whether a shipment needs custom skids, special wrapping or spacing materials, we do “whatever it takes” to ensure safe delivery. One of our proudest achievements has been participating in the USA Bobsled Project by supplying various rod, bar, plate and sheet items utilized in the fabrication of the sleds and their shipping containers. The bobsleds, used in World Cup and Olympic competition, are shipped around the world in containers sporting the Erickson name and logo. ‘The Night Train’ four man bobsled was the 2010 Olympic gold medal winner.
