Western Resource Advocates fights climate change and its impacts to sustain the environment, economy, and people of the West. Our team of policy experts, scientists, economists, and attorneys has a 30-year history of working where decisions are made, sweating the details, creating evidence-based solutions, and holding decisionmakers accountable. This on-the-ground work with policymakers and other advocates advances clean energy, protects air, land, water, and wildlife — and sustains the lives and livelihoods of the West. The climate issues facing the West are what WRA focuses on each and every day — at air quality boards who address air pollution, at public utility commissions who are managing the clean energy transition, in state legislatures and at state agencies where land and wildlife issues are deliberated. The American Animal Hospital Association is the only organization that accredits animal hospitals throughout the United States and Canada. AAHA-accredited veterinary hospitals are champions for excellent pet health care. They voluntarily choose to be evaluated on approximately 900 standards of veterinary care. Currently, over 3,600 small animal veterinary hospitals are accredited by AAHA. Consultants regularly visit these hospitals to ensure compliance with AAHA’s standards for services and facilities.
