Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center (Del Oro) is a private, nonprofit human services agency, dedicated to improving the well-being of family caregivers and providing support throughout the journey. Family caregivers are at the heart of our organization and our compassion, service and respect for this endearing population is paramount to our culture. Del Oro delivers a comprehensive package of caregiver-centered services throughout thirteen counties—Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba. Established in 1987, Del Oro has a proven track record of providing supportive, effective and cost-efficient caregiver services such as Information and Assistance, Family Consultation, Education and Training, Counseling, Legal Consultation, Support Groups, On-Line Resources and Respite Care. As a member of the California Caregiver Resource Center system, Del Oro is one of eleven centers in the state. Del Oro is funded through contracts with the California State Department of Health Care Services, Area 4 Agency on Aging, private grants, fundraisers and donations. Del Oro is governed by a 14-member Board of Directors comprised of members of the community that offer their time, expertise and passion for family caregivers.

Hidden Hunger is in plain sight. Hunger isn’t going anywhere and neither is the Placer Food Bank. For 50 years, the Placer Food Bank has made meaningful progress towards ending hunger but our mission is far from complete. We continue to fill food pantries, send students home with groceries to last the weekend, and stretch every $1 of groceries to $8, thanks to our generous partners, volunteers and sponsors. And you know what? These donors in our community look just like… you. We have this unwavering belief that Hidden Donors can solve Hidden Hunger in our community. Every dollar donated becomes three meals for a neighbor in need, so $25 today means 75 meals tomorrow, $100 becomes 300 meals and so on.
