Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) assists close to 50,000 parents, children, and child care providers each month in Northern Los Angeles County and the entirety of San Bernardino County serving a total area of 22,500 square miles. Since 1976, CCRC has been managing programs to assist with issues such as finding and selecting child care, child care financial assistance, school readiness, home visiting, and research and program evaluation. Children and families benefit from these programs, allowing parents to go to work and attend school, contribute to the economy and strengthen their families and the community. CCRC's early care & education specialists offer parents and child care professionals assistance ranging from finding child care and child development ages & stages to marketing child care businesses and CPR training and certification. CCRC operates and oversees Head Start Birth-5 programs for a total of 3,312 children. These programs promote school readiness and family engagement to ensure a healthy development of children and their families. Children benefit from a high quality preschool education as well as medical and dental exams. Through CCRC’s literacy campaign “What a Difference a Book Makes”, we have collected 800,000 age appropriate books. It is the agency’s belief that the cognitive benefits of literacy are immeasurable and has a large impact on the ability of an economy to general and sustain wealth. Casa Pacifica Centers provides assessment, clinical, medical, residential, and educational services to children and youth struggling with complex mental health disorders due to past trauma and/or mental illness. The agency is the largest non-profit provider of children’s mental health services in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties and administers 15 campus- and community-based programs designed to give youth, and their families, the tools they need to heal, rebuild and strengthen relationships, reengage with their educations, and overcome their behavioral challenges. Amigo Baby was established in 2004 and has served thousands of children and their families. Children are referred by the Regional Center, Doctor or Parent. Amigo Baby assigns each child a team that may include an early intervention specialist (EI), an occupational therapist (OT), a physical therapist (PT), a speech language pathologist (SLP), and a speech language pathology assistant (SLPA). At the core of Amigo Baby’s philosophy is a mission to provide parents the tools and knowledge to facilitate brain development and school success in their children, not only in the early years but well into adulthood, and to provide families with the expertise to support child development, regardless of social-economic status. The literature identifies strategies that early intervention programs should use to provide the best services to their families. These strategies include the use of a multidisciplinary team approach (King et al., 2009; Stoffel, Ramsdell, & Pizur-Barnekow, 2016), providing services within the family’s natural and family centeredness (Gray & McCormich, 2005; Kingsley and Mailloux, 2013; Withrow, 2008), and parent education (Blanche, Diaz, Barretto, & Cermak, 2015; Maulik & Darmstadt, 2009; McWayne & Melzi, 2014). EARLY INTERVENTION Facilitating play, communication, behavioral and emotional regulation, and cognitive skills appropriate to developmental trajectory and to promote growth and learning. PHYSICAL THERAPY Supporting the child’s motor development to engage in meaningful activities with their family and their environment. OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY Enhancing a child’s participation in activities of daily living, supporting family routines, cultivating social engagement, educational learning and facilitating play. SPEECH THERAPY Developing communication, language, speech, and emergent literacy skills to support engagement in the child’s natural environment.

Established in 1975 by members of the Autism Society of LA, Jay Nolan Community Services (JNCS) is a leader in innovative community-based support services for children and adults with autism spectrum disorders and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. In the 1990s, JNCS made history in disability services by offering Supported Living. This service disrupted the group home model by enabling adults with disabilities to live independently in their own homes with in-home supports. We believe with the right kinds of assistance, everyone can pursue their hopes and dreams and live to their full potential within the community. Today, JNCS has 600 staff supporting over 400 individuals. We provide an array of quality services in Los Angeles, Ventura, Kern and Santa Clara Counties, offering individualized planning guided by the needs and wishes of the person receiving services and his or her Circle of Support. Our mission is to enable individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Developmental Disabilities to live fulfilling lives as members of the community by providing support services customized to their individual needs. The Rescue Mission Alliance is a Christian Non-Profit organization ministering to the needs of the less fortunate in Southern California through emergency and long-term rehabilitation services. The Rescue Mission Alliance has served the homeless for more than 43 years. It has grown from the first location on 6th Street in Oxnard to multiple locations in four counties throughout Southern California. Several distinct programs are offered at multiple locations, which provide a "Full Range of Care" for addressing the needs of the hungry, homeless, and destitute. While the Rescue Mission Alliance is a Christ-centered organization, we are not a church. We recognize the need to join forces with the local churches of Southern California in order to provide spiritual nurturing and discipleship that is required for real hope and change in the lives of the people we serve. Many of our program participants and transient guests find regular churches to attend through outreach activities.

Channel Islands Social Services (CISS) is a family-​operated organization located in Ventura County, CA. The organization provides FREE in-home respite care (similar to childcare) in the family's own home and in the local community, as well as Independent Living Services. Eligible families and individuals receive funding from Tri-Counties Regional Center, North Los Angeles Regional Center, or the County of Ventura as Foster Parents or Kinship Families. We know how stress­ful life can be with­out sup­port from friends and fam­ily. Like­wise, all of us need a break from time to time to help us take care of our own needs and to refo­cus so that we can con­tinue to be strong for those who need us. Our com­mit­ted team of care­givers spe­cial­izes in pro­vid­ing sup­port to a vari­ety of fam­i­lies includ­ing those car­ing for peo­ple who have devel­op­men­tal dis­abil­i­ties (such as but not lim­ited to Autism, Down Syn­drome, Cere­bral Palsy, and intel­lec­tual dis­abil­i­ties), Fos­ter Par­ents and Kin­ship Care­givers of young children. Inspi­ra­tion for the orga­ni­za­tion was sparked dur­ing the sum­mer of 2004 when co-​founder, Sharon M. Fran­cis, then Direc­tor of Com­mu­nity Devel­op­ment for Tri-​Counties Regional Cen­ter, iden­ti­fied the unmet needs of chil­dren with devel­op­men­tal dis­abil­i­ties liv­ing in Ven­tura County with no local option for respite ser­vices. Until then, all agency respite ser­vices had been pro­vided by home health agen­cies offer­ing CNA, LVN, or RN ser­vices, or from large L.A.-based multi-​service com­pa­nies. The CISS Admin­is­tra­tive team is made up of very car­ing and highly expe­ri­enced pro­fes­sion­als who are ded­i­cated to help­ing fam­i­lies. With hun­dreds of amaz­ing Respite Care­givers employed by CISS, the small admin­is­tra­tive team works tire­lessly to make sure the needs of both fam­i­lies and Respite Care­givers are being met.
