Seacology is an international environmental nonprofit organization that focuses on saving endangered species, habitats and cultures of islands throughout the world. Indigenous people are all too often faced with the dilemma of choosing between protecting their precious natural resources, and economic development. Seacology searches for win-win situations where both the local environment is protected and islanders receive some tangible benefit for doing so.

Pasadena Community Foundation (PCF) was founded in 1953 with the goal to address "current needs unmet and future needs unforeseen." To meet these needs, the Foundation works with local families and groups to meet their charitable goals – to build their “hometown legacies” – to provide enduring support for its mission to improve and enrich the lives of people in the greater Pasadena area. Now, seventy years after its inception, the public-spirited organization remains unique in its support of broad-spectrum charities from arts organizations to human services agencies.
