The Tri-City Development Council, or TRIDEC, is the lead economic development organization for Benton and Franklin counties. TRIDEC works to sustain the Tri-Cities as a globally competitive, technology-driven economy that provides prosperity and opportunity for our region's residents, businesses, entrepreneurs, and communities through collaborative works. TRIDEC is a 501c6 nonprofit business organization supported by generous contributions from its member investors. The California Resource Recovery Association (CRRA, founded 1974) is California’s statewide recycling association. It is the oldest and one of the largest non-profit recycling organizations in the United States. A 501(C)3 organization, CRRA is dedicated to achieving environmental sustainability in and beyond California through Zero Waste strategies including product stewardship, waste prevention, reuse, recycling and composting. CRRA provides its members with resources to advance local, regional and statewide waste reduction efforts which result in critical environmental and climate protection outcomes. CRRA’s members represent all aspects of California’s reduce-reuse-recycle-compost economy. Our members work for cities, counties, municipal districts, and businesses as well as hauling companies, material processors, non-profit organizations, state agencies, and allied professionals.

Provided a strategic assessment and review for their existing document management system. Assessment included scanning all paper parcel files (approximately 190K files, 2.3 million documents) and uploading them to the document management system. The final report recommended staying with their current document management vendor, but making significant upgrades and changes to better service the existing needs of the Assessor. SLO accepted my recommendation to stay with OpenText for their document management system and to work with BMI Document Scanning services for converting the parcel files to digital images. The parcel files are being scanned in batches, uploaded to the DMS, quality control checks performed, and then entered into production.

Worked in partnership with businesses to research source reduction policies, legislation, and education programs. Conducted interviews to determine “best management practices” in source reduction in various industries.
