YDI is a New York-based capacity-building organization that supports the positive development of young people. We work with nonprofit organizations and government agencies to ensure that programs serving young people and the policies that affect them are aligned with best practices in positive youth development. With a purpose to provide services and resources for students to overcome challenges and barriers that impact student ability to be successful in post secondary education and beyond.

We impact generational change by providing children facing the greatest obstacles with a long-term, salaried, professional mentor, who we call a “Friend,” from age 4 through high school graduation – 12+ years, no matter what.
