Children's Aid Society of Alabama (CAS) has provided services to families in need or at risk since 1912. We believe that children who grow up in safe, stable homes with loving families or permanent supports have the greatest chance of success. We help parents gain the skills and resources they need to keep families together. When children cannot remain with their birth families, we recruit and prepare adoptive homes. We house homeless young mothers and their children while they gain education and job skills that enable them to create family homes. We prepare youth in foster care to age out with the skills necessary to live independently.

Children's Harbor was established in 1996. We are a nationally accredited child welfare organization located in Pembroke Pines, FL that is dedicated to three very specific priorities: 1) Keeping siblings together while they are in foster care 2) Strengthening families who are in crisis within our community 3) Guiding teens who are aging out of the foster care. We keep kids safe while their families are given the opportunity to heal and if that is no longer a possibility and they are not able to return home safely, we become their family. We come alongside them, resource and support them until they can reach a point of self sufficiency We provide residential services in a family-style setting for foster children and community-based services for the prevention and intervention of abuse and neglect. Our Residential Foster Care Program provides a safe and loving home-like environment, while keeping brothers and sisters, and pregnant or parenting teens, together while in the foster care system. Our Family Strengthening Program sends counselors out into homes in Broward County communities to work with the families and prevent the removal of children from the homes.
