As the costs of VR and augmented and virtual reality systems continue to fall while the state of the art continues to climb, the number and type of uses for these technologies have been exploding, including in the workplace.

One particularly effective utilization of these technologies that companies have been experimenting with is employee training. 

This recent piece from Forbes put together a collection of advantages that can be gained via putting virtual and augmented reality to use in a training context as described by thought leaders from industries ranging from finance, to education, to tech.

Those listed advantages are that these technologies increase engagement with the material, promote inclusion, provide opportunities to access executives en masse, improve on-boarding efficiency, and allow for more patience during the learning process by letting trainees move at their own pace and return to lessons multiple times if need be.
