A survey of 2,000 workers who are retired or near retirement provided some interesting insights into workforce preparedness for when they clock out for the last time.

For example, less than 1 in 3 respondents reported having met with a financial advisor to create a financial plan, despite just over 1 in 4 respondents believing that they have enough savings in place to last through their retirement years, which is perhaps why more than half of those surveyed plan to get a part-time job of some sort in retirement to supplement their savings.

There may be a generational divide reflected in the data as well, with 69% of respondents aged 75 - 84 believing they will be able to maintain their current lifestyle, while only 59% of respondents age 55 - 64 believe the same.
