1). Look beyond candidate skill sets and resumes to assess work ethic and empathy-led collaboration during the interview process; 2). Make sure the respect that marks your interactions with and your treatment of your customers is mirrored in the respect shown to team members; and 3). Ensure that your team members have the ability and encouragement to make their personal interactions with customers top grade given that customers maintain much higher standards for customer service interactions when another person is involved, as opposed to technological service interactions, which have a much lower bar.
