The journals started publishing in 2003 and have since become known for their up-to-date, valuable and engaging contents. OGEL focuses on oil, gas and energy law, but also on international arbitration while TDM has a focus on international arbitration: particularly international investment arbitration. Professor Thomas W. Wälde is the founding editor of both OGEL and TDM. Professor Thomas W. Wälde (1949-2008), was a leading scholar and practitioner in the field of international energy and resources law. Professor Wälde excelled in developing and deepening international understanding of critical legal and policy issues relating to energy and natural resources.
