• Supervises a team of enrichment assistants, serving children in various program activities. • Directs and organizes the summer camps as well as Before and after school programs of childcare center.• Seeks out opportunities for training for staff in the field. Organize events for the children and families. • Develops a variety of educational, recreational, and social enrichment activities in cooperation with the staff and with the approval of the school Principal.• Provides support and resources for families throughout the year via home visits and center conferences.• Manages the activity department including activity staff members, creating staff schedules, directing staff meetings, and volunteers.• Gathers information to design activities that meet and reflect the needs and interests of each student.• Plans and implements a program of appropriate experiences for school-age children. • Supervises, trains, and evaluates teaching of staff. • Communicates in a professional and positive manner to children, parents, school administration, and other staff members. • Collaborating with several agencies monthly including CPS, Healthy Families, etc. • Formulates and implements emergency evacuation procedures and protocols during planned drills and emergency situations.• Builds and maintains enriching, professional relationships with school personnel, parents, and the community.• Assesses risk and safety of overall environment at the center to ensure the safety of the children.
