We provide home delivered meals, in-home care, home repair and operate DeKalb County Senior Centers with an emphasis on health and wellness. Funding for our services comes from a variety of sources: contract for services; private donations; grants; proceeds from our Connections Catering. Professional Rehabilitation Consultants (PRC) is an outpatient occupational therapy clinic specializing in Mental Health. PRC is medicare-certified and accepts most insurance plans. No one person's health will look or feel the same, which is one of the many reasons why the broad scope of OT is well suited in mental health. We utilize a 'library' of skilled approaches and adapt and modify them based on our clients' specific needs. Our interventions are developed in consideration of each clients' physical, cognitive and emotional functioning in order to promote success and increased independence in day-to-day activities. Frequently addressed areas of need include mental health and symptom management, self-care habits and routines (dressing, bathing, oral cares, sleep hygiene, etc.), independent living skills, medication management, community reintegration, improving structure of time, cognition, self-regulation, communication / interpersonal skills, relapse prevention, home management, and job readiness/volunteering.
