Our mission is to help people with disabilities understand and exercise their rights under the law, ensuring their full and equal participation in society. Our mission is to be the leading advocate for Delaware’s children. CHILD, Inc. provides creative prevention and treatment programs that meet the changing needs of families. We serve children traumatized by neglect and abuse and their parents. Our team serves those involved in domestic violence situations, especially children. By protecting the victims and treating those responsible for acts of domestic violence we help children heal. We also offer a full array of educational, prevention and clinical services focused on strengthening the parent/child relationship by promoting positive parenting skills through parenting workshops and co-parenting support. The Center for Child Protection, a nationally accredited children’s advocacy center, is the first stop for children in Travis County who are suspected victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse and for children who have witnessed a violent crime. The Center is a child-friendly, specially-equipped facility where children go for recorded forensic interviews, medical exams, counseling and intervention during the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases. It is the only nonprofit in Travis County involved in the investigation of crimes against children. All services are provided to children and their protective caregivers at no charge and most are available in English and Spanish. Children are referred to the Center for Child Protection for services exclusively through law enforcement and Child Protective Services when one or more of the following circumstances have occurred: - A child made an outcry of sexual abuse. - A child has experienced physical abuse. - A child has witnessed a violent crime.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency, A World For Children contracts with and is licensed by the State of Texas to provide foster and foster-to-adopt services for abused and neglected children across the State. Our agency began in 1997 with a single office in Round Rock. Today, while our corporate office remains in Round Rock, A World For Children is now represented in all 12 regions of the State, with offices in Amarillo, Big Spring, Brownwood, Corpus Christi, Dallas, El Paso, Houston, McAllen, Round Rock, San Antonio, Tyler, and Victoria. Our extensive reach allows foster parents in all areas of the State to have an office close to their home to provide any support they may need. At A World For Children, we pride ourselves on being more than simply a corporation—we’re one big extended family. Our staff bonds with our foster parents on a personal level and our administration knows all 350 families on a first-name basis. The focus is not on churning a profit but is instead on ensuring that every member of the family feels the love and support that is so vital for the complete healing of the children that are served. The Refuge for DMST™ (Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has developed The Refuge Ranch, a long-term, residential, therapeutic community for 48 girls, minors through age 19, who have been rescued out of sex trafficking. Built from the ground up on 50 acres in a beautiful and restorative setting outside of Austin, TX, The Refuge Ranch provides trauma-informed, holistic care for the girls on site, including: psychiatric services from Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin’s Department of Psychiatry and the Institute for Early Life Adversity Research; education through the University of Texas-University Charter School (UT-UCS); medical services by community partners; and various therapeutic programs uniquely designed for the development of a child survivor.
