Who We Are: From the very beginning our goal has been to be a reliable supplier of quality herbs and flowering plants. In growing edible products we hold ourselves to the highest quality standards in plant health, plant flavor, and environmental impact. Our herb program, Blue Label Herbs, is USDA Certified Organic through the Texas Department of Agriculture and includes a rich variety selection which allows our customers to meet the more detailed needs of the consumer. Where We Came From: Nortex is a family business owned by Jon and Lillian Pinkus, and operated by their son, Aaron. In 1971, after working 30 years to beautify the Dallas area through landscaping and hands on help at our retail nursery, Jon Pinkus farmed his first acre in Wylie, Texas. Today, Nortex grows its diverse product line of annuals, perennials, herbs, and premium color, on over 10 acres in the community where it all began. Where We Are Going: Located in Wylie, Texas, a suburb northeast of Dallas, on 48 acres of land, Nortex has plenty of land to expand on for continued growth. We have a build out plan to cover all 48 acres. Our expansion plan consists of greenhouses specially designed to grow quality edible organic plants as well as produce items such as Tomatoes and Peppers. We are currently running R&D programs on 3 different types of tomatoes as well as a program we are calling a ‘produce herb’ program. It is designed for the home cook as a great way to buy fresh herbs and keep them fresh to use when needed. QYH was established in 2014 and is engaged in the development, investment and sale of nature-based carbon offsets certified by the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and the Climate, Community, and Biodiversity Standard (CCB). QYH has managed the carbon assets for forest management projects in Inner Mongolia and Jiangxi provinces over the last five years and has actively expanded its portfolio domestically in China, developing afforestation projects in Henan and sustainable grassland projects in Gansu.
