METC offers true one-on-one education tutoring. We cover all academic subjects and levels. We also offer homework help, cyber tutoring and standardized test prep services.

Montgomery County Women's Center is a non-profit company based out of Montgomery County, Texas, that provides crisis intervention, assistance, advocacy, and empowerment to survivors of domestic abuse.

In the State of Texas, 1 in every 4 children lives in poverty and about 15% of the elderly in Southeast Texas live in poverty. We partner with over 130 non-profit agencies and schools in the area to fight against the crippling effects of chronic hunger. We serve the counties of Jefferson, Orange, Hardin, Jasper, Newton, Polk, Sabine, and Tyler and distribute to approximately 130 nonprofit agencies within these eight counties. Our partner agencies preparing meals provide approximately 90,000 meals to people in need each month. Although our efforts are paying off, your continued support is vital to our ongoing struggle. For 33 years, Target Hunger has carried out its mission to alleviate hunger and its root causes in the impoverished northeast Houston neighborhoods we serve. We focus not just on immediate food aid, but also on addressing the systemic, underlying causes of poverty that lead to food insecurity. Target Hunger a United Way agency, is one of Houston’s largest organizations providing direct food distribution to food insecure seniors, children, and families who face the risk of going hungry every day. In 2021, Target Hunger distributed more than 1.5 million meals to more than 16,000 individuals. All of our work is made possible by generous donors and volunteers.

The ultimate goal of Fifth Ward CRC, is to create a positive image of the 5th Ward community that attracts investment from homebuyers, homeowners, business, and government. The finished product is the blueprint for the development of a healthy community – a place where it makes economic and social sense for people to invest time, money, and energy, and creates social and economic impact. Fifth Ward CRC is governed by a diverse 13-member board lead by Dr. Micahel Emerson, and Rev. Harvey Clemons as Founder. Kathy Flanagan Payton serves as the CEO. Through partnerships and collaborations, the FWCRC is positioned to excel in program related activities. Our work is driven by a strong commitment which includes the value it has for residents and stakeholders. Horizon Outreach's mission is "Giving Everyone A New Start". We accomplish this mission by providing programs that decrease the effects of challenging life situations on the family.We serve military, non/military families including at risk youth. Our programs provide key resources that: increase self-sufficiency, employability in career positions, workforce development/certifications, access to permanent affordable housing and overall health and wellness of the family. Our services have proven beneficial to the community as evidenced by the 4,500 plus individuals & families (this number includes 1,700 military families) Horizon Outreach has connected to resources and services since being founded since 2010. As discussed, Horizon Outreach has 5 programs. The program that I would like to highlight, is the Horizon Eagle Fatherhood Program. This program was designed to help military and non-military fathers be better dads. Over 1,064 fathers have completed the Horizon Eagle Program. Each father gained skills to improve their relationships, parenting skills and employment skills. With our new grant we will be assisting young teen fathers to find employment and to gain parenting skills. In addition, Horizon Outreach provides case management to assist fathers and families with housing, rental/utility assistance, employment, and other needs. Horizon Outreach also pays for Forklift Training, TWIC (transportation worker’s identification card) Cards and CDL (Commercial Driver’s Licensing/Training) for fathers as well.

EHCEC exists to improve the quality of life through innovative, sustainable programs and services that empower men, women and youth to achieve their full potential. The organization exclusively focuses on the communities of Channelview, Crosby, Galena Park, Jacinto City, North Shore, and Sheldon. This region is home to more than 225,000 residents and lacks comprehensive services that will ultimately improve the quality of life of the people who live there.

UHPhealth is committed to providing comprehensive services for healthy living including affordable health care access, economic empowerment, healthy environments, community engagement and social stability. Today, two charitable clinics serving the Northwest and Southeast Houston provide vaccinations, wellness check-ups, therapy, psychiatric evaluations, case management and benefit navigation to all under-served communities.
