The Travis County Medical Society (TCMS) was chartered in 1853, when Texas had been a state only eight years and construction of the State Capitol had just begun. On October 22, 1853, the Texas Medical Association officially organized the Travis Medical Society. Since that time, Travis County physicians have worked in partnership to address issues of public health, ethics, training, medical standards, and more. Today, TCMS has over 4,000 physician members. Physicians throughout Travis County rely on TCMS to lobby at the Capital for doctor and patient rights, provide resources to make the practice of medicine easier to navigate as well as providing up to the moment communication and educational opportunities.

The Texas Trial Lawyers Association was founded in 1949. More than seven decades later, our mission remains the same: empowering trial lawyers. The Texas Classroom Teachers Association is the leading teacher association in Texas, with 50,000 members statewide. The Texas Automobile Dealers Association (TADA) is the statewide trade association representing over 1,200 franchised automobile dealerships in nearly 300 communities throughout the state of Texas. It represents the dealer body before the Texas Legislature, Congress, and all regulatory agencies. The Texas Rural Water Association is a statewide nonprofit educational and trade association dedicated to the improvement of water quality and supply. Our motto is "Progress Through Unity."​ Founded in 1969, TRWA represents a full spectrum of the rural water community including nonprofit water supply and sewer service corporations, special utility districts, municipal utility districts, WCIDs, small municipal utilities and privately-owned water utilities. Membership includes more than 750 water utilities in Texas who supply water to approximately 3 million people.
