Children's Friend, a non-profit organization founded in 1834, is Rhode Island's oldest child welfare organization and a leading provider of child welfare, family support, mental health, and child development services. With centers in Providence, Pawtucket and Central Falls, Children’s Friend serves more than 30,000 of Rhode Island's most vulnerable children and their families each year.

Tempus Unlimited exists to provide a continuum of community based services that support the efforts of children and adults with disabilities to live as independently as possible in the least restrictive environment. The agency through its programs and services encourages the inclusion of people with disabilities into the mainstream of society including social, recreational, family and work activities.

In December of 1965, Cranston Community Action Program (CCAP) was incorporated as a Community Action Agency under the Economic Community Act and was charged to mobilize all resources toward the elimination of poverty and to provide participation of the poor and underserved in program decisions that affected them. At that time CCAP served Cranston, Coventry, Scituate and Foster. As many of our programs grew to include additional cities and towns outside that catchment area, we decided to change our name. In September of 1994 we officially became Comprehensive Community Action, but still CCAP. CCAP’s Mission Statement is quite simple: to empower all people and communities, challenged by poverty as well as social and cultural barriers, through advocacy, education, and access to high quality health and human services. Today, CCAP serves more than 20,000 Rhode Islanders with programs in Cranston, Warwick, Coventry, Providence, Pawtucket, Scituate, and Foster. Programs include: counseling services, health centers and dental care, food, housing and fuel assistance, weatherization, family support and services, Headstart, day care, emergency assistance, education, and job training.

Kennedy-Donovan Center, Inc. (KDC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1969 on the principle that all individuals have the right to participate and thrive in their community. Kennedy-Donovan Center supports people with developmental delays, disabilities or family challenges to pursue their personal potential and success in the community. We fulfill our mission through a number of programs, which we offer in several regions: Early Intervention (EI), Early Intervention Partnerships, Healthy Families, KDC School (a 240-day developmental day school), Day Habilitation Services, Family Support Services/ Respite Care, Intensive Foster Care, and Transitional Job Support, as well as various residential support programs: Shared Living, Adult Family Care, Supported and Supervised Living, and Individual Support. Each year, our diverse and dedicated staff of 600+ employees and 300 respite home care providers and foster parents, serves over 10,000 children, adults and families with (or at risk for) developmental disabilities or delays, and their families. We meet the needs of disabled individuals and their families throughout their life – from pregnancy, infancy, and childhood, into adulthood and the senior years. Incorporated on June 21, 1965, Self Help, Inc., like most other existing Community Action Agencies was established during President Lyndon Johnson's “War on Poverty.” Self Help has been in existence for 39 years and currently serves residents in 31 Commonwealth of Massachusetts cities and towns located in Plymouth, Bristol and Norfolk counties. Annually we serve over 15,000 households that are located in our service area and provide programs and services designed to meet the most pressing needs of residents of our service area. Self Help has a history rich in community involvement and positive community change. Some programs such as Head Start have been with us since 1965 and continue to grow and impact low-income families with preschool children. Other programs such as Fuel Assistance, Community Partnerships for Children and Lead Abatement services were developed to meet specific needs identified in our service area through Community Action Planning.

Rehabilitation Associates, Inc. is a comprehensive therapy center that provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, clinical social work, and nutrition services. In addition to individual therapies, we offer rehabilitation programs and expertise in a variety of specialty areas.
