United Way of Northern New Jersey is working to advance the common good by focusing on EDUCATION, INCOME, and HEALTH. The NEPA Alliance, a regional community and economic development agency, serves the seven counties of Northeastern Pennsylvania including Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne. NEPA Alliance services include Business Financing, Government Contracting Assistance, International Trade Assistance, Non Profit Assistance, Transportation Planning, Research and Information, and Local Government Services. OUR GOALS The Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance will have a positive impact on the economic and community development of the region, by utilizing the exceptional abilities of our professional staff to: •Increase the number and quality of the services we provide to business clients •Provide valuable services to local governments •Provide valuable services to nonprofit entities through the Nonprofit & Community Assistance Center (NCAC) •Strive to consistently achieve 100% customer satisfaction •Maintain and enhance financial stability of our organization •Provide support for the creation or retention of 2,250 jobs annually •Communicate the positive impact of our services on our region •Seek and develop partnerships with other organizations to enhance delivery of programs and services and utilize resources efficiently

ReThink Health was initiated by the Fannie E. Rippel Foundation, which was founded in 1953 to seed innovations in health and health care.

The Community Foundation of New Jersey creates and scales custom solutions for purpose-driven individuals, families, and businesses. The KU Foundation has been raising funds to support the students, faculty, programs and capital needs of Kutztown University since 1983. With the generous support of KU alumni and friends of the University, we've raised millions of dollars for student scholarships, endowment, building projects, academic programs, athletics and more. The Foundation is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and all gifts to the Foundation are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

CAN DO, Inc., is a non-profit industrial/economic development corporation serving Greater Hazleton in Northeastern Pennsylvania, which is just a short drive from New York City, Philadelphia, Boston or Washington, D.C. Our coverage area includes portions of Luzerne, Schuylkill and Carbon counties. The Hazleton area is bordered on the west by Columbia County, east by the Lehigh River, north by Wilkes-Barre, and south by upper Schuylkill and Carbon counties. Our mission is to improve the quality of life in Greater Hazleton through the creation of employment opportunities. Since 1956, CAN DO has fostered the economic activity in our community and has evolved into a one-stop shop for business and industry.

The Patriots’ Path Council, Boy Scouts of America (Council #358) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preparing young people to make ethical choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of good character, citizenship and personal fitness. The Patriots’ Path Council serves more than 15,000 youth members and 5,000 leaders each year in the counties of Morris, Somerset, Sussex, Union and parts of Middlesex, New Jersey. Some 400 local organizations have a Cub Pack, Scouts BSA Troop, Venture Crew, Ship or Explorer Post as a part of their service to youth. The Patriots’ Path Council’s core objective is to build strong personal values, family values and character in young people by providing program activities that teach, support and encourage such values.

As a private, nonprofit organization, Homeless Solutions, Inc. has been helping the homeless and working poor in our community since 1983. In 2017, 600 people received shelter and housing through our programs and services. Our highly-structured Shelter Programs provide goal-oriented case management, our Life Skills Curriculum, childcare, linkages to medical care and transportation, and more. Our Transitional Housing Program focuses on budgeting and saving to prepare guests to return to independent living, and includes our Life Skills Curriculum and childcare assistance. Through construction, renovation, and advocacy, our Housing Development team creates award-winning environmentally-friendly homes that people can afford

The Boys & Girls Club is more than a place, it is a “movement” to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
