VisionCorps was founded in 1926 and is one of the oldest, and largest, non-profit organizations in Pennsylvania. Its goal is to empower people who are blind or vision impaired to attain independence. In 1926, a group of six people created a small workshop for several blind individuals in a few rented rooms at 218 East King Street. The group hired a shop supervisor who taught workers skills such as basket making and chair caning/weaving. The products were then sold in a store. Today, VisionCorps’ Enterprise Group focuses on employing people who are blind in manufacturing, food processing, and administrative services. The organization currently employs more than 150 individuals, 75 percent of whom are blind or vision impaired. VisionCorps’ Rehabilitation and Youth Services provide the tools and training to empower individuals who are blind or vision impaired to attain independence. The organization serves more than 2,000 individuals in Lancaster, Lebanon, Chester, York and Adams counties, through rehabilitation services. VisionCorps’ Prevention of Blindness services include KidSight, which screens more than 8,000 children for vision loss. Most recently, VisionCorps merged with its York County sister organization, ForSight Vision, serving York and Adams Counties. The newly merged team has carried forward the name, VisionCorps, and continues to be committed to providing services and employment for all citizens in its newly expanded region.

Founded in 1964 by passionate physicians and parents, Abilities Network has a long-standing history as an organization that assists individuals in Maryland to achieve their personal goals and reach their maximum potential through customized support and community. As a credited 501(c)(3)nonprofit, Abilities Network's mission is to challenge the community to acknowledge the value and equality of people of all abilities. We support children, adults, families, and seniors who are affected by a variety of at-risk factors, including a diagnosed disability, lack of environmental supports, low-socioeconomic levels, and limited knowledge about resources and/or the capacity to access them. Through Project Act, we offer extensive training opportunities to families, child care providers, teachers and community members with the goal of fostering inclusion and helping those that struggle with education thrive. Our Move Management program and monthly Speaker Series provide resources and information to help seniors move through their next phase of life with more ease. Abilities Network’s Healthy Families Baltimore County (HFBC) program has been serving families since 1999 by giving them the community, information, and resources they need to have healthy babies and strong families. Through Abilities Network’s Community and Employment Partners program we are able to help those with disabilities live a full life with independent living and employment services. Our services are customized to provide individuals and families with choices to help them accomplish more. All of our programs are united by our philosophy of working one on one with the individuals we serve in their homes, workplaces, and communities where we all live.

We emphasize family involvement and supportive services to prepare each child for success in school and a lifetime of learning. Since the summer of 1965, Child Development, Inc., has operated high quality Head Start and childcare programs.

Motivated by Christian faith, COBYS Family Services educates, supports, and empowers children and adults to reach their full potential. We carry out this mission through adoption and foster care services, a permanency program, counseling, and family life education.

The Family Health Council of Central Pennsylvania is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving health, preventing disease, and promoting wellness. Founded in 1973, the Council oversees and supports a diverse, 28-county network of organizations providing a range of vital services and care to thousands of women, men, children and adolescents each year. Services include women’s health care, cancer screening and education, tobacco prevention and cessation, nutrition advice and healthy foods, and HIV/AIDS support services.

Founded in 1975, PCAR works to end sexual violence and advocates for the rights and needs of sexual assault victims. PCAR partners with a network of rape crisis programs to bring help, hope and healing around issues of sexual violence to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. PCAR: • Assures that communities have access to quality victim services and prevention education by providing funding, training, materials and assistance to a network of rape crisis centers that serve all of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties. • Provides resources and training on sexual assault-related issues to professionals across the Commonwealth. • Promotes public policies that provide protections and services to victims of sexual violence, hold offenders accountable and enhance community safety, and works with media to increase public awareness, access to accurate information and ethical reporting practices. • Operates the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC), which identifies, develops and disseminates resources regarding all aspects of sexual violence prevention and intervention.

We, Carroll County Youth Service Bureau, commit ourselves to provide a continuum of community-based mental health and substance use services for children, adults, and families in Carroll County. We use a mulit-disciplinary approach to deliver prevention, intervention, and treatment services in the least restrictive and most cost-effective manner. in the true spirit of the helping profession, we are dedicated to excellence in service, innovation in programming, and responsiveness to our community.

AHEDD provides employment services throughout Pennsylvania to people with disabilities. The individuals we serve include youth in transition from school-to-work and adults who are looking for employment in the community. Participants in AHEDD's services benefit from a customized plan of service that can include: skill assessments; career exploration and development; self-directed job search; job placement; work site support/training; and/or consultation on benefits management issues by Certified Work Incentive Coordinators (CWICs). The critical work that we do helps people gain greater independence, become productive and contributing members of their community and meet the diversity and labor force needs of businesses.

SCCAP's mission is to empower families and engage the community to pursue innovative and effective solutions to break the cycle of poverty in South Central Pennsylvania. With a robust history that has constantly evolved to fit the community's needs, SCCAP has helped bring healthy food to thousands of food-insecure families, provide shelter for hundreds of homeless individuals, help dozens of families move out of poverty, and so much more. SCCAP works with low-income families, donors, and community allies on a micro and individual level to help them achieve their goals to move out of poverty. These programs also enable us, at a macro level, to take what we are learning from families about the barriers that keep all families stuck in poverty and engage the community to help us identify and implement effective solutions.

Berks Counseling Center (BCC) is a recovery oriented behavioral health and supportive services non-profit organization located in Reading, PA with offices in Phoenixville, PA at the Chester Counseling Center (CCC).
