The mission of the Constructors Association of Western Pennsylvania (CAWP) is to be the premier trade association for union* affiliated contractors in the heavy, highway, railroad and utility construction industry in western Pennsylvania. Dietrich II and principally funded from proceeds of the sale of Dietrich Industries in 1996. Founded in 2008, the Marcellus Shale Coalition (MSC) works with exploration and production, midstream, and supply chain partners in the Appalachian Basin and across the country to address issues regarding the production of clean, job-creating, American natural gas from the Marcellus and Utica Shale plays. We provide in-depth information to policymakers, regulators, media, and other public stakeholders on the positive impacts responsible natural gas production is having on families, businesses, and communities across the region.

The Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation has been serving West Virginia and Southwestern Pennsylvania since 1944. Grants are made to support specific initiatives in the areas of Education, Economic Development, Health and Human Services, and Community Development. In creating the Foundation in 1944, the Benedums expressed the wish that grantmaking be focused in West Virginia and Pittsburgh, their native and adopted homes. Since inception, the Foundation has distributed in excess of $500,000,000 as of December 31, 2018.
