In addition to the below tasks, I independently undertook three key projects that impacted operations in a positive manner. First, I researched other entities and developed a report with recommendations on how the Tribe could reduce the long turn around time in applications. With approval, I created the new operational guidelines that led to a 50% reduction in wait time for new staff to start their positions. Second, I analyzed records to determine where the most errors and confusion (which caused delays) occurred. I then made suggestions that were adopted for improving the application form that reduced applicant errors and led to an easier process for applicants, which made decisions simpler. Third, I was able to catch the department up on three years of back logged files and records. This wasn't difficult work, but needed someone to lead the project and see it through to completion.
