Catlin Gabel is a co-educational, independent day school in Portland serving 760 students in preschool through 12th grade. The school’s roots reach back to 1859. The 1957 merger of the Catlin Hillside School and Gabel Country Day School established the highly respected school that flourishes today. We are an organization of more than 72,000 people who, by joining together, are achieving what we cannot accomplish alone. The French International School of Oregon is a preschool through 8th grade independent school with an internationally-focused curriculum. We are one of the largest independent schools in the Portland area, with a current enrollment of over 500 students. Our preschool through grade five is full French immersion, whereas language options are expanded at the Gilkey International Middle School. Middle School students choose instruction in English or a partial immersion experience in one of the following languages: French, German, Spanish, or Mandarin Chinese. All middle school students are required to also study one of these languages at a beginner level.

The Math Learning Center (MLC) is a nonprofit organization serving the education community. Our mission is to inspire and enable individuals to discover and develop their mathematical confidence and ability. We offer innovative and standards-based curriculum, resources, and professional development. Our products and services are used by educators throughout the United States and in many international locations.

FoodCorps partners with schools and communities to nourish kids’ health, education, and sense of belonging so that every child, in every school, experiences the joy and power of food. Our AmeriCorps members serve alongside educators and school nutrition leaders to provide kids with nourishing meals, food education, and culturally affirming experiences with food that celebrate and nurture the whole child. Building on this direct service, FoodCorps advocates for policy change, grows networks, and develops leaders in service of every kid’s health and wellbeing. Our goal is that by 2030, every child will have access to food education and nourishing food in school.
