Our mission is to provide compassionate, professional cancer support and education in the Northwest Arkansas region today and tomorrow. Dealing with a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, and Hope Cancer Resources wants to do as much as possible to help patients and caregivers throughout the journey. We provide patient support, navigation, survivorship and wellness programs, and cancer prevention education at no cost for families and communities in Benton, Carroll, Madison and Washington counties. Hope Cancer Resources offers a continuum of emotional support including crisis intervention, individualized supportive counseling and support groups. Financial assistance is provided for cancer-related prescription medication, cancer-related dental care and other emergency needs including rent/mortgage, car payments, gasoline (gas cards), travel for out-of-town treatment (hotel, airfare), utilities, and homeowners and automobile insurance. A Spanish interpreter is available to assist patients during their cancer-related appointments to help ensure clear communication with their medical team. A Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist is available to meet one-on-one with patients and caregivers to talk about strategies and resources to help in quitting the use of tobacco products. Transportation is provided for patients to and from cancer-related medical appointments when no other assistance is available. In 2017, we launched the Wellness Center for Hope to promote wellness, healthy living and overall quality of life for cancer survivors and caregivers by offering access to knowledge and a variety of health-oriented activities that will aid in a healthier cancer journey. In addition, Hope Cancer Resources impacts the community by providing free cancer prevention education to schools, churches, businesses and civic organizations in Northwest Arkansas. We are here to provide support for the journey and education for life.

In 2005, the LCDA underwent an intensive organizational challenge to earn a national accreditation which focused on establishing standards of quality to use in its overall business and program policies and procedures to ensure that needs of the persons served are met and best possible outcomes are achieved. LCDA successfully earned and continues to maintain for the fourth consecutive year the highest level of accreditation given by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitative Facilities (CARF). Consistent community trust established throughout the years has helped the LCDA to evolve into a Latino services clearinghouse where 50 staffed positions provide successful outreach to Latino families. Area university students and hundreds of volunteers are involved in over 22 programs and numerous events throughout the year serve a variety of needs in the community. Green Country Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that has been serving families in Tulsa County since 1988. Through home sponsorships, individual donations, and volunteer work, we are able to build safe, quality, beautiful homes and offer affordable, low-interest mortgages to families who cannot afford a traditional mortgage. We work directly with our homeowners to ensure that housing expenses are not a cost burden, and our homebuyer program includes volunteer work and courses on homeownership in order to emphasize the importance of community involvement and education. Financial Coaching offers client-drive sessions led by a volunteer coach with training in budgeting, banking and borrowing, and credit. These sessions allow clients to come with their own questions and work together with a coach to take back control of their finances, make better decision, and regain a foothold in financial stability and self-sufficiency. This is a proven effective intervention with 96% of participants achieving greater financial stability, increasing savings by an average of $4,200, and decreasing debt by an average of $5,900.
