Shelter Care is a residential treatment program for children between the ages of 6 and 18 who manifest emotional, behavioral, or family adjustment type problems. Located in northeastern Ohio, Shelter Care provides a continuum of residential care, from short-term crisis intervention, to intermediate or respite care, as well as long term care in route to independent living. The short-term care is provided through the Safe Landing Youth Shelters. This program utilizes a professional staff model with qualified persons serving in different capacities on a 24-hour basis. The intermediate and long-term care is provided through a network of respite and shelter homes, housing between 2 to 4 children within a family setting.

Seiberling and Firestone founder Harvey Firestone, the original mission of nearly 100 years ago continues today as Greenleaf Family Center endeavors to strengthen families in our community through counseling, education, and support.
