HOSCH COMPANY
HOSCH COMPANY
Oakdale, Pennsylvania
1-24 employees
A revolutionary idea and great deal of entrepreneurial spirit; In 1975 Hans-Otto Schwarze used this combination and founded HOSCH. The initials of a graduated engineer served as a simple, but unmistakable trade name. After the development of the first sprung-blade scraper, the company of highly qualified engineers, which was still small at the time, laid the pivotal foundation for its later success. The first commercially available belt-cleaner, Type A, was presented to the public in 1976 and HOSCH was quickly recognized as having a great reputation. In 1986, the still young company made a world-wide breakthrough in belt-cleaning technology with the launch of the HOSCH Type B6. This was the very first in-line, single row metal blade scraper on the market that was able to provide customers with safe, efficient, and effective cleaning results. Another milestone included the building up of their own production and expansion of “in-house” capabilities. In 1992, HOSCH launched the C-series which again set technical standards in conveyor belt-cleaning technology. In 2001, the HOSCH Head Office in Germany was expanded to accommodate a modern training center as well as a state-of-the-art research and development facility for the whole HOSCH group, which has grown to 14 international companies and more than 500 employees worldwide. The head office in the United States is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a branch office and warehouse in Belfry, Kentucky. In 2009, HOSCH released the revolutionary Type HD that is unlike anything else. It has set the new standard, by which all other head pulley cleaners will be measured, in terms of cleaning efficiency and long-lasting life. The formerly small owner-led company has in the meantime become a global player, specializing in innovative products and maintaining its position as the world market leader in belt cleaning technology through continuous development and expansion.
