University Physicians (UP) is the largest multi-specialty medical group in Mississippi. Radiology, Inc. traces its roots to 1904 when Dr. Stanley Clark started his solo radiology practice in the Warner Building in downtown South Bend. At that time, Dr. Clark also owned and operated the x-ray equipment at Epworth (now Memorial) Hospital in South Bend. During World War II, Dr. Clark’s Radiology Partnership opened x-ray facilities at Elkhart General Hospital. In 1972, the partnership Dr. Clark started reorganized as Radiology, Inc. At that time, seven doctors were providing radiology services at Memorial Hospital, Elkhart General and Plymouth Parkview Hospital. Since 1990, Radiology, Inc. has increased physician employment from 18 radiologists to approximately 40 in 2020.
