Founded in 1908, Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging is a Cleveland-based nonprofit whose mission is to support caregivers and empower all people to age well through research, consumer-responsive services and client advocacy. The following programs and subsidiaries operate together to fulfill our mission: Home- and Community-based services: Includes mental health day treatment, social work, behavioral health services, Senior Companions, and WeCare…Because You DoSM, a telephone-based care coaching program. Most services are delivered through Benjamin Rose subsidiary Eldercare Services Institute, LLC. Rose Centers for Aging Well: Provides home-delivered meals, as well as hot lunches, programs and services at six senior center locations throughout Cleveland, East Cleveland and Oakwood. Empowering and Strengthening Ohio’s People (ESOP): Helps adults in all stages of life achieve and maintain financial wellness and housing stability. Margaret Wagner Apartments: Offers supportive housing for low-income older adults. Research and Education: Conducts applied aging studies that enhance the lives of older adults and the family members, friends, and professionals who care for them. Education and training programs disseminate the latest information about aging issues to professional and lay audiences. Community Advocacy: Engage in advocacy activities with a focus on financial stability, caregiving, housing, behavioral health and racial equity. Conference Center at Benjamin Rose: Includes meeting and event space ideal for lectures, seminars, corporate events, banquet meals, social gatherings and trade displays.

Preterm advances reproductive health and justice by providing safe, respectful, and accessible abortion care and sexual healthcare. We advocate for every person's right to determine whether or when to have children, to become a parent and to parent with dignity, to have a healthy pregnancy, and to have healthy and safe families and relationships. Preterm provides abortion care and other sexual health services such as birth control options, STD testing and treatment, and gynecological wellness care. Our entire staff is dedicated to providing the highest quality health care, with empathy and without judgment. Learn more about our services. We keep our services as affordable as possible and offer financial assistance to abortion patients with limited financial resources. We serve as a training site for medical residents and other health professionals who want to learn about high-quality abortion care and family planning. Preterm is dedicated to eliminating the shame and stigma around abortion and building a more empathetic world where people can make pregnancy decisions with dignity and respect.

Formerly known as the Axios Foundation, Akesis was born in 2000 from the pioneering efforts of its founders in implementing one of the first antiretroviral (ARV) treatment programs in Africa. In 2020, the Axios Foundation was renamed Akesis. Over the last 20 years, Akesis has worked with public and private sector stakeholders to strengthen health systems and access to healthcare in more than 35 countries around the world – expanding from HIV/AIDS to other critical public health areas including malaria, family planning, cancer and vaccines. Today, we continue to break new ground as we work to advance a new generation of responsive health system strengthening services in parts of the world where it is needed most. As Akesis, we take a unique approach that prioritizes both systems and people to enable quality, reliable service delivery for more sustainable outcomes.
