The Watershed Agricultural Council partners with hundreds of farm and forest landowners in the New York City Watershed region to ensure their lands stay within a working context. Keeping over 2,000 miles of Watershed lands productive and part of a growing economy is no easy task. Add in the challenge of delivering over one billion gallons of fresh, clean drinking water to nine million New Yorkers each day. Together with Watershed landowners and various partnering agencies, the Council achieves a two-part solution to a growing need: protecting clean water by ensuring working landscapes in agriculture and forestry. These working landscapes, in turn, provide pure food raised on family farms and strong local economies based on thriving farm operations and wood businesses based on healthy forests. All three are a direct result of innovative approaches in Watershed management. The Council uses: • Whole Farms Plans, • Forest Management Plans, • Conservation Easements and • Economic Initiatives to help farmers, forest professionals and private landholders address water pollution concerns on properties located in the Croton and Catskill/Delaware Watersheds.

The NEPA Alliance, a regional community and economic development agency, serves the seven counties of Northeastern Pennsylvania including Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne. NEPA Alliance services include Business Financing, Government Contracting Assistance, International Trade Assistance, Non Profit Assistance, Transportation Planning, Research and Information, and Local Government Services. OUR GOALS The Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance will have a positive impact on the economic and community development of the region, by utilizing the exceptional abilities of our professional staff to: •Increase the number and quality of the services we provide to business clients •Provide valuable services to local governments •Provide valuable services to nonprofit entities through the Nonprofit & Community Assistance Center (NCAC) •Strive to consistently achieve 100% customer satisfaction •Maintain and enhance financial stability of our organization •Provide support for the creation or retention of 2,250 jobs annually •Communicate the positive impact of our services on our region •Seek and develop partnerships with other organizations to enhance delivery of programs and services and utilize resources efficiently

Partnering with local nonprofit organizations and school districts, the United Way provides access to resources and programs that meet the education and health needs of children and financial stability of families throughout the Wyoming Valley, while maintaining safety net support for the community’s most vulnerable.

Woodstock Farm Sanctuary envisions a peaceful world rooted in respect and justice for all living beings. We rescue farmed animals and give them care and sanctuary, connect animals with people to advance veganism, and advocate for animal rights in alliance with other social justice movements. We welcome visitors to come and meet animals who are most commonly exploited, abused, and killed in animal agriculture. Our animal residents are given lifelong sanctuary and are treated with respect as individuals. By giving farmed animals the chance to live their lives with dignity and by sharing their stories, we advocate for veganism and aim to reduce suffering for all.
