UNITE HERE represents more than 250,000 workers throughout the U.S. and Canada who work in the hospitality, gaming, food service, manufacturing, textile, laundry, and airport industries. UNITE HERE boasts a diverse membership, comprising workers from many immigrant communities as well as high percentages of African-American, Latino, and Asian-American workers. The majority of UNITE HERE members are women. Through organizing, UNITE HERE members have made apparel jobs in the South, hotel housekeeping jobs in cities across North America, and hundreds of thousands of other traditionally low-wage jobs into good, family-sustaining, middle class jobs.

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the recognized leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth at every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open. Established in 1881, the USTA is a progressive and diverse not-for-profit organization whose volunteers, professional staff, and financial resources support a single mission: to promote and develop the growth of tennis. The USTA is the largest tennis organization in the world, with 17 geographical sections, more than 700,000 individual members and 7,000 organizational members, thousands of volunteers and a professional staff dedicated to growing the game.

The Bronx Defenders provides innovative, holistic, and client-centered criminal defense, family defense, civil legal services, social work support and advocacy to indigent people of the Bronx. Today, our staff of over 250 represents 35,000 individuals each year and reaches hundreds more through outreach programs and community legal education. In the Bronx and beyond, The Bronx Defenders promotes justice in low-income communities by keeping families together. Madison Square Boys & Girls Club: Since 1884, Madison has been saving and enhancing the lives of youth by providing youth development services for children in New York City’s most disadvantaged communities. Every day, Madison provides thousands of children with a safe and positive environment, one where fun is encouraged and positive role models are plentiful. A founding member of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Madison currently serves more than 5,000 youth, ages 6 to 18, at seven sites throughout Brooklyn and the Bronx.

Community Housing Innovations, Inc. provides housing and human services that support social and economic independence to families and individuals on Long Island and in the Hudson Valley. Since its founding in 1991, Community Housing Innovations, Inc. (CHI), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency, has provided emergency, transitional and permanent housing to thousands of homeless persons and low income families and individuals. Today, CHI guides families and individuals from homelessness to home by providing emergency and transitional housing with an array of supportive services and the end goal of finding our clients permanent homes. We strive to teach our clients the life skills necessary to maintain stability and economic and social independence. CHI owns and/or manages over 350 units of permanent housing, occupied by low or moderate income families and individuals, offers supportive permanent housing and transitional housing, provides down payment assistance to first-time homebuyers, and provides counseling and support to homeowners facing foreclosure to help them successfully secure a mortgage modification.

Housing Solutions of New York services all of New York City. The population includes those individuals who are: living with HIV/AIDS, single parents; substance abusers; the homeless; formerly incarcerated the physically and developmentally disabled. Founded in 1950 as Orange County Cerebral Palsy Assocation, Inspire was established to provide services to children with cerebral palsy living in Orange County. As the needs of our community have grown and changed, Inspire has expanded programs to benefit children and adults with a wide variety of disabilities and challenges. Inspire specializes in early childhood development, as well as outpatient rehabilitation and family support services for youth and adults.
