Members include: The University of Vermont Medical Center, formerly known as Fletcher Allen Health Care, and affiliated with the University of Vermont Colleges of Medicine and Nursing and Health Sciences Alice Hyde Medical Center Central Vermont Medical Center Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital Elizabethtown Community Hospital Our network was created in October 2011 when Fletcher Allen in Burlington, Vermont, and Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin, Vermont, signed an affiliation agreement. In January 2013, New York partners Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh and Elizabethtown Community Hospital in Elizabethtown joined the affiliation. In 2016, Alice Hyde Medical Center joined. The network was originally called Fletcher Allen Partners.

UVM Health Network - Alice Hyde Medical Center, located in Malone, New York, is comprised of a 76-bed acute care facility, a 135 bed long-term care facility, 30 bed assisted living facility, four family health centers, a walk-in clinic, a cancer center, an orthopedic and rehabilitation center, a cardiac rehabilitation unit, a hemodialysis unit, and a dental center.

The University of Vermont Health Network - Elizabethtown Community Hospital (ECH) is part of a six-hospital network serving patients and their families in northern New York and Vermont. We have campuses in Elizabethtown and Ticonderoga, and community-based health centers located throughout the region. We’re not just caregivers and staff - we're your friends and neighbors, offering expertise and compassionate care when and where you need them. We're dedicated to providing you with the best medical care possible in an environment that supports your health and healing. That's what we call the heart and science of medicine. Elizabethtown Community Hospital is designated as a critical access hospital (CAH) by the federal government. This designation is given to small hospitals located over 35 miles from another hospital. The CAH must have agreements in place with other hospitals that are willing to accept patients requiring additional and immediate care. Those hospitals must trust the abilities and capabilities of the CAH, to effectively manage initial patient care. There are 1,324 CAHs across the United States and 18 of those are in New York state.
